Agrimony, Yellow-Flowered (Agrimonia eupatoria) Herb in 1L Pot
Agrimony produces showy spikes of tiny yellow flowers in the summer that resemble church steeples, and it is also characterized by having fruits that are marked by hooked bristles - cockleburs - at the top or towards the tips. Agrimony will flourish in any soil type, and it is found growing wild on the side of agricultural fields and by the roadsides. Agrimony will grow 30-60cm high.
Yellow-Flowered Agrimony is an attractive perennial which is also known by a host of common names: Church Steeples, Cocklebur, Liverwort, Philanthropos, Rat's Tail, Stickwort and Tansy.
Herb Usage
Traditionally used in healing, agrimony eupatoria was typically used by herbalist's as a sleep inducing remedy, it was believed in ancient folk-lore that if a sprig of Agrimony is placed under a persons head they would sleep until it was removed we can't vouch for that but it is a very attractive plant for your herb garden.
