Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.
The Blister packs used to protect our beautiful herbs during transit are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled kerbside.
Lawn Chamomile as the name suggests is the variety of chamomile to buy if a lawn is what you really want it is a mat-forming evergreen plant which has tiny aromatic leaves that form a dense carpet of green, and will not flower, making it more suitable for using as a lawn. Lawn Chamomile can only be propagated by runners or cuttings. In any case it is better planted in a drift and certainly where it can be walked on, brushed past or crushed gently to allow the calming aroma to be released. Chamomile is a wonderful low growing plant (never gets higher than 20cm) that grows wild in the pastures and prairies, or where other grasses flourish. As a result, it is fully hardy and prefers well drained soils in full sun.

Lawn Chamomile is popularly used as a calming, stress relieving tea, chamomile also assists digestion and the flowers and leaves have been used for a range of complaints, from nappy rash to anger management. The essential oils are important in cosmetic products like conditioners, and also feature in the arsenal of the aromatherapist. If you want to use chamomile for its aromatherapy benefits then the standard Chamaemelum nobile is the better variety as the properties are in the flower.

Fantastic starter plants- although they were described as ‘plugs’, they were substantial plants in good condition. They were cheaper than another company, the quality, speed of delivery and careful packaging was excellent. I would definitely buy from Hooksgreen in the future.
Came very quickly and packaged perfectly all 60 very healthy plugs planted out same day after giving them a drink still early as to tell how well they will do but at the moment very pleased
I haven't never ordered plants for postal delivery but struggled to find a local garden centre which supplied a decent stock of chamomile for lawns. Bit the bullet and ordered from Hooks. Speedy delivery, safely packaged and in healthy condition on arrival, the tray of plug plants were really healthy. Many other suppliers listed bare rooted plugs (soil washed off) which presume would need immediate planting. Hooks were decent sized, established plugs in a tray, meaning it was not a hurry to plant. Planted them the next day - really healthy root system, smelt lovely and I am confident this will be a lush little lawn area in no time. Really great product and service

First class condition and much bigger than ones supplied elsewhere. A tip. A whole lawn needs a lot of weeding. A camomile seat needs less and smells lovely when sat on.
50 plants in a tray ordered by phone and nice conversation to boot. Very promptly despatched and really nicely packed so arrived in perfect condition. All now planted in alopecious lawn and thriving so an excellent job and very many thanks and I'll be back!
For a long time I have been planning to do a small chamomile lawn and under Covid-19 I cannot travel for work so have the time at last. I ordered 50 plug plants from Hooks Green Herbs, they arrived in excellent condition and are doing well.
