Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.
The Blister packs used to protect our beautiful herbs during transit are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled kerbside.
Used extensively in Eastern cooking, coriander has become synonymous with the spicy food associated with that part of the world, particularly as a leaf garnish. As a plant, this delicate annual, growing to 60cm, prefers to grow from seed without disturbance of the tap root. Producing a fuller leaf at the base and a fern-like leaf at the apex, Coriander will bolt and go to seed if it is not continually harvested for leaves.
A small white cluster of flowers appears in summer, which will mature to become the seed. The weight of the seed may require staking of the plant, but the effort is worth it as the flavour and fragrance of home-grown seed is far superior to anything available commercially. The seeds will have a citrus aroma, which will indicate maturity, at which point the entire seed head can be harvested and stored in a paper bag.
Early watering is recommended, and a warm sunny position is a must to ensure healthy and robust growth. It is ideal to ensure continued availability of fresh leaves, that a system of rotational planting is employed.
Coriander produces seeds which are an aromatic addition to the chef’s arsenal, as they form a major constituent of Garam Masala, chutneys etc, as well as flavouring the sweeter apple pies, cakes and biscuits.
Our potted Coriander herb plants are generally availiable to buy online between April and September.

Arrived safely, we’ll packaged and very healthy plant. Larger than I expected and plenty of root. Excellent.
I made three separate orders over a few weeks whilst organising a new herb garden during lockdown, and I couldn't be more happy with every single item in my deliveries! Everything arrived in super speedy time, well packaged and looking fresh and zingy! All my beautiful herbs are now enjoying their new home outside my summerhouse! A HUGE thank you to all your staff who are providing this service in the most difficult of circumstances
Last week I bought four salvias, a monarda, a vietnamese coriander and a coriander. They were all well packaged but DHL couldn't deliver them on the day appointed and I wasn't in the next day so they arrrived a little late and a little the worse for wear. Most are going to recover well, just the coriander and tricolour salvia were rather damaged by getting too wet. I think they are all going to be fine and I will certainly order more herbs from you but I thought you might like to know.
