Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.
The Blister packs used to protect our beautiful herbs during transit are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled kerbside.
As a member of the Mint family Harts Pennyroyal will thrive anywhere, preferring moist partly shady areas, and is easy to grow from cuttings or replanting of runners. It is native to the western Mediterranean from France south to the Azores and Algeria. It should be kept well watered to ensure good leaf production. Harts Pennyroyal will produce small flower spikes in mid to late summer, and grow 30-60cm tall.
Leaves can be used ver sparingly in soups. The leaves are harvested as the plant comes into flower and can be dried for later use. The essential oil in the leaves is antiseptic, though it is toxic in large doses.
Our potted Harts Pennyroyal herb plants are generally available to buy online between March and September.
