Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.
The Blister packs used to protect our beautiful herbs during transit are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled kerbside.
Rosemary Prostrata 'Rampant Boule' is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant evergreen needle-like leaves and purple flowers from April - June. It prefers a light, sandy soil, which will fully satisfy its meagre feeding needs. Having said that, rosemary is tolerant of most soil conditions as long as they are not water-logged in winter. True to its origins, Rosemary prefers sunny and sheltered conditions. It will stand frosts if conditions are not windy and wet as well. Rosemary is one of the most decorative herbs and is well worth growing for its appearance alone, Rosemary prostrata 'Boule' as the name suggests has a prostrate habit meaning it will spread and stay low approx. 30x30 cm. To prevent the plant getting too woody always cut back by one third in the Autumn.
The leaves of the Rosemary plant are extremely aromatic, and can be finely chopped and used to flavour a variety of dishes, especially stuffing. Many cooks simply cut sprigs of rosemary and place with roasted meats, especially lamb, pork, chicken and turkey. For Centuries Rosemary has also been used medicinally with the essential oil being used to treat a variety of ailments including aches and pains, sprains and headaches. It is also used to perfume toiletries.
Our potted Rosemary Prostrata 'Boule' herb plants are generally available to buy online all year round.

All plants arrived quickly, well-packaged, and in top condition. I've been looking for the prostrate form of rosemary for ages now (to replace one I'd had for years), and this one is such a lovely, strong plant .
