Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.
The Blister packs used to protect our beautiful herbs during transit are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled kerbside.
Rosemary, Pink is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant variegated needle-like leaves, this variety has pretty soft rose-pink flowers produced in late spring, creating a beautiful display. Rosemarinus officinalis is native to the Mediterranean region, and as such, prefers a light, sandy soil, which will fully satisfy its meagre feeding needs. Having said that, Rosemary is tolerant of most soil conditions as long as they are not water-logged. True to its origins, Rosemary prefers sunny and sheltered conditions. It will stand frosts if conditions are not windy and wet as well.
Rosemary Pink is one of the most decorative herbs and is well worth growing for its appearance alone, as it can reach heights of 1.5 m if left for long enough in the right growing conditions. To prevent the plant going leggy always cut back by one third in the Autumn.
The leaves of the Rosemary plant are extremely aromatic, and can be finely chopped and used to flavour a variety of dishes, especially stuffing. Many cooks simply cut sprigs of rosemary and place with roasted meats, especially lamb, pork, chicken and turkey. For Centuries Rosemary has also been used medicinally with the essential oil being used to treat a variety of ailments including aches and pains, sprains and headaches. It is also used to perfume toiletries.
Our potted Pink Rosemary herb plants are generally available to buy online between March and September.
