Gentian Sage 'Guanajuato'(Salvia patens 'Guanajuato') Herb in 1L Pot
Salvia Guanajuato is a perennial and named after the city of Mexico where it was first found. It flowers from July - November or until the first frost. It has intense soft-blue or turquoise blooms which flower on tall spikes up to 1.5m in height in the right growing conditions. The ideal time for cutting back flowering shrub sages is the Spring once new growth can be seen and risk of frost has past. Cut up to half the plant back shaping as needed. If Sages are becoming leggy then a light summer cut may be required. Dead heading the old flowers will encourage new flowers all season.
