Salvia patens 'Oxford Blue'(Sage 'Oxford Blue') Herb Plant
Sage 'Oxford Blue' is also known as Gentian sage 'Oxford Blue' is a fantastic sage, it has wonderful exquisite large dark blue, hooded flowers about 2.5cm in size on erect stems with large, oval, pale green leaves. An excellent garden plant and cut flower, this variety can be planted in sheltered borders, patio containers or kept in the conservatory. Sage 'Oxford Blue' is a tuberous-rooted herbaceous perennial which given the right conditions could reach 1M in height, in mild areas tubers can be left in the ground otherwise simply lift and store as you would Dahlia tubers until spring.
Preferring well-drained sunny positions, this is a good plant to put in a container, where it can be moved into a sheltered position over winter.
