Mountain Cranberry(Vaccinium vitis-idaea) Herb in 1L Pot
Mountain Cranberry is an excellent self fertile ground covering plant growing to a height of 15cm with a low spreading habit. It produces pink/white flowers in May/June which develop into masses of red berries which ripen in July and September. It is very attractive to bees. It prefers an ericaceous soil.
Herb Usage
The Mountain cranberry has many other common names including the lingonberry, cowberry, wolfberry and rock cranberry it belongs to the same family as blueberries and cranberries. The berries are excellent for culinary purposes such as Cranberry jelly and drinks.
