Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.
The Blister packs used to protect our beautiful herbs during transit are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled kerbside.
Korean Angelica is a biennial plant that is becoming more and more fashionable in the garden, and is a fabulous addition to any border it can reach up to 1.5 M it has dark green foliage and beautiful beet-root red flowers in flat umbels that are ten to twenty centimeters wide a real show-stopper and great for flower arranging. The foliage and hollow grooved stems have a faint aniseed odor. Angelica is a graceful plant in any situation. this plant is also known as Purple Angelica. Its large flower heads are bee and butterfly friendly too and if you leave the seed-heads in place the birds will love it too.
A large architecturally stunning plant that can reach 6 ft tall, Angelica is an interesting addition to the herb garden, but it will also take its place in the border too. They are best sited in a full sun position, but will take some shade, and prefer moist soil.
Due to the size of the plant and leaves, Angelica can be windblown, so may need staking once it has reached full size.
Angelica has been said to be an aphrodisiac, an antidote to poisons can word off the the plague and a used as a protection against witches! It is probably more famous for the candied stems for on cakes but the roots can also be used in various culinary ways - including giving the characteristic flavour to Benedictine.
Our potted Korean Angelica herb plants are generally available to buy online from March to September.

I bought Angelica Gigas plants from Hooksgreen Herbs. They were delivered quickly and arrived in fantastic condition. The packaging was excellent and fully protected the plants in transit. The plants are very healthy and great value for money. I live in the north so at the moment the plants are waiting in a cold frame and will be planted out when the soil starts to warm up after recent snow and hard frost. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for quality plants at a reasonable price.
