Malvern Spring Festival 10th-13th May 2018
The RHS Malvern Show was the first RHS show of the year for us and was a great success producing our first Silver Gilt of the year which we were delighted with considering the difficulties caused by the late winter and cool spring.
It was a very busy show with people desperate to get gardening in the recent fine weather, There was a particularly high demand for sweet cicely as mentioned by Carol Klein on gardeners world on the Friday night of the show (it is fabulous to sweeten rhubarb just use instead of sugar when stewing !).
Also popular was Anthriscus Ravenswing as it was used in a number of show gardens, it looks spectacular when in full flower delicate white sprays of flowers contrast beautifully against the very dark almost black lace-like-leaves.
Our display showcased the many different kinds of mint we sell including the Australian Mint Bush and the standout was strawberry mint which we sold out of on the Saturday. The highlights of our display were Flowering Comfrey, early flowering ~Thymes such as Iden and Peter Davis.
Our display also had a great variety of early season colour, including our large collection of Rosemary (Arp, Boule, Officinalis, Ginger, Fota Blue, Sudbury Blue, Pink, and Severn Seas).
