Plant arrived healthy and in good condition. It was well packed and protected. However I was surprised to find it pot bound. Thankfully, having prised the roots apart and potted it on it is growing away well.

Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.

Variegated Calamint is an erect, bushy plant with square stems, this perennial has soft grey foliage, downy with soft hairs.
The flowers bloom in July and August, and are a very pretty mauve/pink. A hardy perennial, propagated by seeds or by cuttings of side shoots in cold frames in spring, or by division of roots in October and April.
Calamint was commonly used as a medicinal herb in medieval times, though is little used by modern herbalists. It is sometimes cultivated as a medicinal herb for household use. The whole plant is aromatic, diaphoretic, expectorant, febrifuge and stomachic.
Our potted Variegated Calamint herb plants are generally availiable to buy online between March and September.
