Oregano 'Pink Dome'(Origanum 'Rosenkuppel') Herb in 1L Pot
Origanum 'Rosenkuppel' meaning pink dome in German is so called as it produces domed clusters of tiny pink flowers with red-purple bracts in summer a very pretty cultivar.'Rosenkuppel' is a compact ornamental cultivar growing 45cm tall it has the typical aromatic leaves of the Oregano genus but these are on purple-flushed slender stems. Preferring light well-drained soil, in a sunny position it may be evergreen or semi-evergreen in areas with mild winters.
Herb Usage
As with all Oregano's, Oregano 'Rosenkuppel' is an extremely aromatic herb. Its pungent flavour features heavily in Mediterannean and Mexican food, as it has a great affinity for a variety of foods, especially strong flavours like wine, olives and tomatoes, vegetables, stuffing and egg dishes. Oregano 'Rosenkuppel' is an ornamental cultivar not recommended for culinary use.
