Tashkent Mint (Mentha spicata 'Tashkent') Herb Plant
Tashkent mint is a strong spearmint, with very intense flavour and lovely foliage , slightly curled and rounded leaves. As with any Mint, Tashkent Mint will thrive anywhere, preferring moist partly shady areas, and are easy to grow from cuttings or replanting of runners. To control spread, this herb should be planted in sunken bottomless containers and kept well watered to ensure good leaf production.
Herb Uses
Tashkent is perfect for using in classic spearmint recipes and drinks. Very strong scent and has similarities to typical garden mint. It is argued that this is one of the best mints for mint tea.
